PlasmaLEP Gains Momentum in Jordan: Expert Insights Shared at Major Urology Congress and Hands-On Workshop
Lamidey Noury continues to advance urological innovation in the region, with growing interest in the PlasmaLEP technique for prostate enucleation. This month, our Regional Manager, Timothee Murcier, attended the International Congress of the Jordanian Association of Urological Surgeons, where leading experts gathered to share advancements in surgical technologies.
During the congress, Dr. Mohammed Omar delivered an insightful presentation on the clinical value of PlasmaLEP, emphasizing its unique benefits for surgeons and patients alike. His talk highlighted several key advantages that set the technique apart from other advanced procedures:

• Greater cost efficiency
• Reduced noise hazards during surgery, contributing to a better operating-room experience
Building on the success of the congress, we partnered with Sadaf Medical Supplies to host a dedicated PlasmaLEP enucleation workshop at Princess Basma Teaching Hospital in Irbid. Dr. Omar performed two live surgeries, providing in-depth training and practical insights to attending Jordanian urologists.
Participants received expert guidance on key considerations for adopting the PlasmaLEP technique, including:
• Careful patient selection during the early stages
• Solid familiarity with traditional TURP procedures
• Prior experience with morcellation
• The importance of observing multiple live cases and workshops
• Beginning with median-lobe enucleation before advancing to more complex one, two, or three-lobe techniques
