A Growing Interest in Bipolar Enucleation of the Prostate
Our Area Sales Manager CHARBEL M visited Beirut to take part in U care 2025, the Uro Oncology congress organized by the Department of Urology in Lebanon. The event brought together leading surgeons, key decision makers, and industry partners, with our distributor Transatlantic Medical recognized as a diamond sponsor for its continuous commitment to advancing urological care.
Among the central themes discussed during the congress was the enucleation of the prostate, a topic that continues to gain momentum across the region. The technique received particular attention through an insightful presentation by French surgeon Dr Martin Lorette, who showcased the clinical value and practicality of performing prostate enucleation with a bipolar device. His lecture demonstrated how PlasmaLEP offers an easier and more affordable alternative to other enucleation techniques while preserving high standards of surgical precision, safety, and efficiency.
Before the congress, Notre Dame des Secours University Hospital NDSUH welcomed Dr Martin Lorette to perform live surgeries of prostate enucleation. A significant number of Lebanese surgeons attended the sessions and expressed strong interest in adopting this innovative technique in their own clinical practice.
